It is a two-story wooden structure built in 1927 and is located at the northern end of Nopporo Forest Park. Built as the Hokkaido Government Forestry Experiment Station, the first floor is made of brick masonry and the second floor is made of half-timbered wooden structure, and the exterior mortar is washed out. The hut is like a queen post truss. Located on the hills of the city, it is a popular landmark in the area.
