It was built as a three-story wooden girls’ secondary school missionary building built in 1918. The basic design was done by American architect Vories, and the implementation design was done by Swiss architect Hindel, who lives in Sapporo. It features a full-fledged Western-style design such as a steep large roof and overhanging windows.
