It is a wooden statue consisting of two bodies, “Myokame and Hosame,” dedicated by the fishing ground owner in 1825. It represents a unique form of worship in Hokkaido, where the beliefs of sturgeon and Wajin, which appear to be the traditions of the Ainu people, are mixed.
