A festival with a history of more than 100 years, also known as the “Sapporo Festival”. More than 1,000 citizens dressed in costumes reminiscent of colorful Heian period picture scrolls parade through the city with eight floats, centered on four portable shrines carrying the god of Hokkaido Jingu Shrine.
